Rolleiflex Automat Model 3 (K4B2)
The Rolleiflex Automat Model 3, also known as type K4B2, is a medium format TLR film camera manufactured by Franke & Heidecke in Braunschweig, Germany. It was produced between 1945-1949. The Automat gets its name from the introduction of an automatic film counter in 1937, the first year of production for the Automat. The automatic counter senses film thickness so it can accurately begin counting frames.
Rolleiflex is world-renowned for its quality cameras, most notably the medium-format twin lens reflex product line. They are rugged, compact, easy to use, and possess outstanding optics made by Zeiss and Schneider. Even today, a decades-old camera can produce tack-sharp, highly resolved images.
